K3MSB Straight Key Night 2014

 

I had a GREAT time running my SCR-274N command sets!  My antenna is an HV-2V on the ground with 32 radials.

 

Power output was between 30 and 40 W and I was using a J-38 straight key.

using hand key I learned how to send cw on abt 1969.  it is a cheap ball bearing one made in Japan.  Great you hve the ww2 sets es I wish I cud remember what I had in rotc in 1957 es think it was newer army stuff just can’t remember.  I did not get ticket until march maybe feb 1971.  it took long time to get time to go to fcc field office at 100 mi away”
